I just want to say that I chased my stupid dog down the street for quite a ways this morning. When I finally got back home with him, I almost threw up-not kidding! I have NO idea how you runners do it! Good Lord-you impress me!
I heard this is even worse than it looks because you think you see the top of the hill only to crest it and realize it climbs so more. Forewarned is forearmed.
I'm a mom and wife who works full time and is a fitness instructor in the evenings. I decided to cross an item off my bucket list in 2010, and complete my first marathon. I ended up running the Pittsburgh marathon on May 2nd and then the Cleveland marathon on May 16th. Two in two weeks!! I am now addicted and have registed for another marathon in the Fall. Please join me in my journey as I continue to balance work, life and running another life-changing 26.2 miles on October 17th, 2010 in Columbus, OH!
Yeah, suck it up!
ReplyDeleteRock it girl! You can do it!!

ReplyDeleteTina, that made me laugh out loud about your dog. And if I had to sprint like that I might have to throw up, too!! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, do Chicago; it's completely flat....

ReplyDeleteDavid, your comment made me laugh out loud! Luv ya, cuz!
ReplyDeleteSlow and steady wins the race. That's also why I never ran Pittsburgh. Chicago's biggest hill is the on ramp to the highway.
